Personal Use Licence
For personal, non-commercial projects only. You may make crafts, clothing, décor and gifts for yourself, friends or family; use the designs for your home, classroom, place of worship, school project or cultural event; resize, recolour, combine and modify the designs; and create up to 50 donated fundraiser items when you make no personal profit.
You may not sell products made with the designs or use them for branding, marketing, advertising, client work or business giveaways.
Commercial Use Licence
Includes all personal-use rights plus permission to sell unlimited finished physical products; use the designs on print-on-demand finished physical products; sell flattened, non-extractable digital end products in which the artwork is part of a larger design; use the designs in business marketing, packaging and social media; and create finished products for clients.
Not Permitted Under Either Licence
- Reselling, sharing, giving away, sublicensing or redistributing the source files
- Including the files in bundles, templates, fonts, brushes, stamps, clip-art sets or downloadable asset packs
- Selling the designs as editable or extractable digital files
- Uploading source files where others can download them
- Claiming the artwork as your original design or registering it as a logo or trademark
- Using the designs as the main element of a business logo or trademark
- Using the files to train AI or machine-learning models or datasets
- Hateful, defamatory, unlawful or culturally disrespectful use
The traditional Adinkra symbols remain part of Akan cultural heritage. Your purchase is a licence to use Adinkra Art’s digital artwork files; it is not ownership of the traditional symbols themselves.
